Hochwurzen Ski Area
The Hochwurzen has something to offer all winter sports fans!
Skiing, boarding, sledding, winter hiking, magical hut experiences – and all of that, both day and night!
Unique in the entire region: our 3 km long floodlit piste. Here, you can slice down the mountain long after dark.
The lift continues to run until 9:30 PM.
And there's no problem heading home after either, thanks to the night bus which runs until 2 AM between Schladming, Rohrmoos and Untertal.
In addition, the 7 km natural sledding hill invites you to enjoy a fun-filled sledding expedition that includes the Seiterhütte. Even the sled run is open at night – meaning that nothing at all stands in the way of a romantic toboggan ride down the mountain .
The Seiterhütte is open daily from 9 AM until 11 PM.
Sleds can be borrowed right next to the valley station of the Hochwurzen gondola.
In a test conducted by Styria's biggest daily newspaper, the Hochwurzen was the only one of the 20 ski areas to receive the highest possible score, 5 stars!
Lift Schedule
Daily from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM, evening schedule, daily except Sunday, from 7 PM until 9:30 PM.
Piste Hours
Daily from 8:30 AM until 5 PM, also every evening except Sunday from 7 PM until 11 PM.
The sled run is open from 7 PM until 11 PM!
